Questions
Hey i had a few questions for you guys...
Do you guys have wall outlets there to charge up gun batteries?
Is there a permission slip or waiver that needs to be signed before entry into the place?
Do you guys only play 5 man teams at a time? Like one team on another team?
Please answer back RSVP.
-Thanks
What kind of guns do you have there to rent?
This is CQB... of course they're mp5's.
Well are they all MP5's? I checked out the pics and it looks like some mid range firing as well.
Most people who play regularly have made an investment into their own armory. They purchase and use guns that fit their particular style. The rentals are merely for those that want to sample the experience without making the investment into their gun. As it is primarily a CQB, the MP5's suit the field well.
I play with an MP5, and am able to make some mid range shots as well.
Dalton, are you assuming all the guns in the pictures are rentals? The rentals are JG MP-5 A4s (retractable stock) and they shoot nice and hard around 400 FPS.
You may notice that there is already a thread with all of this information in it called "Weapon Rentals."
Our team and i all have our own arsenal of weapons but one of our teamates has been having some gun problems so i was asked too find out what kind of weapons you guys rented out. I figured the guns in the pictures werent what you guys rented out...they are some nice custom guns it looks. I just wasnt sure if the Mp-5 was the only gun you guys rented out
I understand that MCQB opens at 10:00am but what time will MCQB close on the 21st?
The team and i are all curently using 400fps and lower weapons but i was wondering if you guys chrono the guns out there? One of our team members said he was at Cresent and a guy there said he was using a gun that shot 520 fps at MCQB and he didnt have to chrono it???
Wolf i dont think it will go late...
We usually play until about 1-2. You misunderstood the about the FPS requirements. People often bring in guns that shoot over 500 FPS, they shoot them in the arena between games and we all ooh and aah over the sound of the spring. 400 FPS is the limit for player-vs-player matches.
A lot of guys say a lot of things... There are a lot of claims made all the time about FPS, number of kills, and the size of their... fish they caught. Saying it doesn't make it true.
So you said you usually play until like 1-2 pm? Do you guys ever go longer? Like i can see stopping because of dead batteries but it just seems like a short amount of time for games with one team vs. another team and it seems like there are alot of people goin so how do you decide what guys/teams are up to play next? Those are just remaing questions i was thinking about.
We usually go until everyone's had enough. We don't normally stop just because of an arbitrary time limit. Typically we go until everyone is exhausted or has other commitments to get to.
Oh cool...cuz when we heard it was goin to be over at like 1 or 2 i started wondering how everyone was goin to get in alot of playing time. Well the team and i will play as long as you guys have the place open. And It looks like alot of people are beggining to play airsoft...and goin this weekend to play so thats cool. The 21st should be fun.
As far as the play time, everyone leaves when they are too bruised and battered to go on, except for Shadow. He stays there fighting amongst the fallen under complete darkness. Eternally :)
Frankly though Ares, when MCQB opens normally at 10AM, everyone has plenty of playing time if they all leave around 2-3PM. That's the beauty of the CQB battleground.
I was wondering if it would be possible for me to print out one of your medical liability release forms, so I will have it ahead of time. I may need to do so because I am not sure if my parent would be able to come with me to sign it.
One other question I have is: Can my friend's parent sign the form for me also?
The form is available for download on the rules page.
can i bring a pistol that is 480fps and use it?
it doesnt hurt (not that much)
if i bring an 480 fps co2 pistol can i just use .12 gram bbs but not .20?
400 FPS is the maximum allowed. If you want, you could bring it to the next exhibition and let me shoot you with it. At which point I would judge by the look on your face whether or not 480 FPS hurts.
Even if you managed not to flinch though, you still wouldn't be able to use it at MCQB.
ok so i guess i can right?
u said u wuld judge it, im used to 480 and above =)
anyway its actully 380 fps a c02 pistol
i guess it's okay too to run around and poke players with it.. lol
ok, since there are teams do u have to sign up for one or do u guys ( refs) just split the people up randomly?
lol nice
Neo, I think the bayonet's a great idea... about as good as saying your pistol shoots 480 then revising that to 380. Really what's the point?
If you have your own team you will play with your team. If you don't have a team, you will be placed with others without a team - semi randomly. We want every match to be competitive so there is some thought put into the matches.
my friends co2 gun is 480 i just checked MINE and its 380 i can bring the box if u want me to
can i make a team of 2 or 3?
If you're confident, your team could be just you. I wouldn't recommend that, but you're welcome to be destroyed on a regular basis.
I would suggest putting together a team of 5. Until you get 5, feel free to jump in on other games, with other players... you'll be suprised how much you learn from playing with different players.
do u want to see my set up?
so no army of 2 or 3 isnt acceptable?
I will defer to Muncy for sure, but I'm pretty sure that you are welcome to play outnumbered if you like. Don't expect sympathy if you knowingly go out there outnumbered and get destroyed though. The best teams tactically are made up of 5.
it's more like army of pain.. lol
go ahead.. haha
Thanks for the great time at MCQB guys. I saw a lot of different playing styles and me and the rest of TCC look forward to going back again.
Oh and Ghost....that shot was some David Blaine bull ****. LOL
we are joining a team w/ Crossbones
I was woundering if I can bring a camera to the Saturday game an make sum videos for youtube an such ?
Yes you can film at MCQB... but I don't replace camera lenses.
I'll be bringing my Flip HD camera. I'll probably film after getting out.
Your goin to be filming alot then
I'm not gonna lie, I laughed pretty hard at that, I'll be editing the video this weekend so it should be coming up soon.
Is this gas mask, the guy who lit me up when I was right next to you.!! lol
Hah, yeah sorry about that, you were out of safety range and were going to shoot at me so, he who is slowest loses there.
Ya, no problem.. What brand is your team mates MP5?
It's an aftermath, I have no idea why he bought it. I personally don't think it was a good purchase. (Would not recommend it, don't tell him I said that though)
Haha , no i won't, but you guys need a 5 man team guys or you will be destroyed, no joke.
You'd be surprised how good those "unknown" brands are. My Aftermath m14 has been phenominal.
I am thinking about purchasing a tornado grenade and possibly a launcher, since its CQB i wouldn't think the launcher would be necessary, but would you allow air-soft grenades, it does not explode but just spins and fires about 180 rounds 360 degrees, i understand you do not what downed players or refs hit so i was just curious on what you would think.
also what about claymore mines
both are perfectly legal at MCQB
No.........

There are currently no outlets on site for charging gun batteries. Most on site charges are done by generous people with car adapters.
Medical liability release forms are provided for signing when you pay admission.
Most of the exhibition games are 5-man teams, sometimes 6-7 per team if there are several freelancers. Occasionally we will host a battle royale (10 v 10) usually once during the day. League games are 5-man teams only, with named sub pools of 2-3 players.
