New Game Times
Good news, Modesto CQB will now be offering all day play on Saturdays! The day will be split into three 3.5 hour time slots.
10:00am-1:30pm
1:30pm-5:00pm
5:00pm-8:30pm
The cost for the sessions will be.
$10 for one
$18 for any two
$25 for all three
For those of you who get rides to and from Modesto CQB please note that that you will need to be picked up at a different time. Also, because I know some of you will ask this, yes I really mean ANY two sessions during the day for the $18 price.
For those of you playing in the league, there was some confusion about whether it starts at 6:00pm or 6:30pm as evidenced by the multitude of early arrivals last week. This was my fault due to some advertising typos. Monday night league starts at 6:30pm just like it says on the calendar.
I would imagine you could show up and spectate all three sessions if you wanted?
Spectators are welcome to attend any session free of charge. ARES, in your scenario you are correct that you would only have to pay for two sessions.
Thats awesome that you guys are putting new time slots but i wanted to know if your guys' M4 rental guns were full metal or if just the receiver was just abs.And if you can how much they were.
They sell them on Evike.com for 140$. Its a great deal and i believe they are all plastic
Thanks Should i get it cause Evike has a matrix gun, plastic for 100 dollars, or should i get the G&G that MCQB uses? Oh and that matrix gun is preorder so it comes next month. I can't decide.
I havent seen any guys using the Matrix M4....and for 100 dollars im not so sure how good it is. I personally would go with the G&G M4 because it is cheap and its a good brand. And even though the Matrix gun says it'll be in next month doesnt always mean you'll be getting it then...
The G&G Brand 140 dollar gun is also next month ship.
I'm looking for an airsoft gun and i don't know which gun to get. I'm looking at a dboy right now cause its full metal and its 150 dollars. Anyone with experience with a dboy?
I have a Dboy SPR. Its just a sniper version of the M16. But its a really good gun, I would imagine the M4's are just as good. If you want a good full metal AEG for about 150 then go with Dboy.
My son uses a Dboy PDW and I actually like it. The quality is pretty good for the price and it has good heft to it (weight). The only thing that went wrong with it was the rear stock button. When I folded the rear stock in the button popped out so I just keep it extended out problem solved.
D-boys excells in AKs
Classic Army builds reliable AEGs
TM builds really reliable AEGs
JG and CYMA and Echo 1 are all good entry level brands
VFC makes good all around guns
Has anyone used a matrix gun cause i have no clue.
Don't buy their items. Unless you expect something cheaply made.
isnt like matrix, tsd, and DE all from the same company?
That's what people have told me, de and tsd only make good shotguns.
they have really cheap c02 pistols but you get what you pay for... very cheap (leaky) guns
Whats the difference if any? and which are better? If not the same?
ballbearings are smoother and have less friction between the gears and bushings, however to me it doesnt make a diffence metal with oil groves provide good stability. lets just say if you know how to shim a gearbox properly then you dont really need ballbearing bushings.
edit: if i might add people who are RPM crazy choose BB Bushings.
I was wondering why cause i was looking at a full metal matrix even the internals, and its pretty expensive an like you said you get what you paid for and 200 is a lot (to me at least) doesn't look that bad.
Link me to the gun, i'll look into it.
Looks promising... But I would still pass it up because Evike isn't exactly reputable as far as some of their information they put up on their website and because there are other brands that offer the same thing with a much more reputable name behind them.
So many different guns to pick some i can most i can't. I really want a gun but i only have like 100 bucks and i plan on getting more money later. But there are so many guns at random prices its really difficult for some reason.
My suggestion is for you to save your money and wait until you have about 200$ and then get a good AEG. With 100$ your not gonna get anything that lasts or is gonna stand up much at MCQB unless you get a gas pistol sniper rifle or even a shotgun. But AEG wise you should save up and get a good gun that maybe is more expensive but you know will last. Dont let that money burn a hole in your pocket. Personally i know money is tight with some people but i saved up for a while and bought a Classic Army M4 for almost 400$ and its been The best AEG purchase ive made in a long time. It maybe was expensive but its a great gun and worth the money.
I bought a KJW 1911 and it was a little pricey and its a great pistol but my co2 mag has been leaking because i made the mistake of leaving a co2 cartrige in it and i think it froze up the o ring or something but it just depends on how good you take care of your toys. I will agree that some cheap cheap gas pistols will leak and will not last as long as a good GBB full metal pistol or even a non blow back one but my brother has a few cheaper gas pistols and they work great. If you decide to get a pistol or pistols then i can suggest some really good cheap pistols that will last.
Are the M4s at MCQB abs plastic or full metal? I need to know!
are G&G M4s cause the one you told me about, the 140 dollar one, i know its a minor detail but, the MCQB guns have the bolt or charging handle function that flips the dust cover, The 140 dollar G&G doesn't
Im one hundred percent positive that they are G7G
I'll save my money but it really sucks cause i missed so many days of going to play airsoft. I was tempted so many times to spend the money.
But like I said I'll just stick to your plan to save until i get AT LEAST $200 dollars. And Thanks Foos for researching the guns you helped me find.
For 200 dollars I would suggest getting either a:
JG G36C (which is a good gun to start out with) and maybe an extra mag or two and some BBs.
For a M4/M16 variant I would suggest the G&G mentioned above with an intellect mini-type battery.
For an AK variant I would suggest a Dboys RK-03 or a CYMA AK74UN (or cm035 if you want to call it that.).
For a DMR/Rifleman I would suggest the CYMA M14 (or cm032 if you want to call it that.).
Just some suggestions above, consider your familiarity with any guns above, the lengths of the barrels, any features other guns might not (Adjustable sights, folding stock, etc.) the availability of magazines and pouches for vests in your purchase.
Speaking of vests don't buy a crossdraw, i thoroughly recommend a MOLLE system vest so you can tailor it to your needs (yes it costs more, but you can apply the same philosophy of "Don't buy a bunch of cheap items, get several quality items" as you would to guns here.) not to say you can't get by with one, it's definitely possible and many people use them, it's my firm belief however that if you have control over where your pouches go and the versatility of being able to change out other pouches if you get a new gun, and not buy a whole new vest, is really appealing to me.
If you do get a vest, don't get a camo-patterned vest, instead get a flat color, like OD Green or Tan or Coyote Brown. This way you can match that vest with more than just one camouflage.
I personally use an OE-TECH/Condor MOD 0 Vest because it's breathable and relatively lightweight.
Hope this is useful.
I thought i remember seeing them blow-back...idk
oh and i have the $200 versionb of the matrix m4 (m100 spring version) and it's amazing! such a good deal
How long have you had it?
Are you sure its not the blowback one and not the basic 140 dollar G&G
I found the same gun from Airsoft megastore and Airsoftpost(Evike), AM had the same gun more expensive but i plan to message them soon. I'm not sure which site is better. So i ask you guys, a couple questions.
-Which has faster shipping?
-Which is more reliable?
-Which has better prices?
-Any coupon codes?
-I want to know if the stock battery is better or just the same.
Craigslist:
http://sacramento.craigslist.org/spo/1819546699.html
He talks about "Middle Patent" WTF is that?
Q: Which has faster shipping?
A: Last order i made from Evike was on the 6th, they shipped it on the 28th. And even then it was a partial ship. I still have yet to receive my other items from my order which they have NOT emailed me back about. AM probably has much better shipping
Q: Which is more reliable?
A: I kind of answered this one last question, but they are severely lacking in costumer service and don't know how to handle issues at all. I even called them. TWICE and still haven't shipped the rest of my order, which isn't back-ordered items.
Q: Which has better prices?
A: Evike by far because of some of the "Holy Cow" deals they have, but it's not worth it for the bad service.
Q: Any coupon codes?
A: I know evike has some (noship for no shipping and some other ones you can find on the net), not sure about airsoft megastore
Q: I want to know if the stock battery is better or just the same.
A: It depends on what the stock battery is, if its an 8.4 china made battery and you're considering getting an intellect 9.6 then go for it. If you mean wiring as in wired to the stock, then definitely get it wired to the stock. I cannot stress this enough with armalite style guns, handguard batteries in armalites are a massive pain and lead to frustration and broken handguards.
My two cents above, hopefully this is helpful.
Every time that I have ordered from Evike my items were here within the a week that i have ordered them. I have had nothing but good luck with them. And their coustomer service its great. I bought a red dot/acog site from them and it broke within a weeks use, I emailed them about my problem and we got a new one with no hassle. Ive ordered all of my airsoft gear from Evike and I think by far they are the best.
As for Airsoft Megastore ive never even been on their site so im really no help. Although one of my friends was looking at a gun on their site but they didnt buy anything.
Oh and Airsoft Gi is pretty good my brother has bought stuff from them. The only problem Ive seen is they take for ever to ship
Personally ive never had any problems with Evike or there shipping. Just like what Eagle Eye said...ive gotten all my orders within a week and none any longer then that. Ive had a backorderd boonie hat that took awhile for them to ship to me but thats the only thing i can complain about i guess.
Even going into there walk in store they've been very helpful in helping with our airsoft needs. I would also like to recommend maybe looking for a AEG at Airsoft Extreme. I at first wasnt a fan of them but i went to there store in Sacramento and thats where i bought the AEG that im currently using
Is there league play tomaro
yes there is
Good thing you brought that up, ranger, I was having doubts.
theres going to be a new map layout and some of the cover has been modified for this weekend. make sure you come check it out
Is there going to be a video on youtube to show the new layout?
Unfortunately not. Ghost makes those and he is on hiatus.
This means you'll have to come play on it tomorrow to be the first to learn it!
There was some confusion this past week about game times because MCQB closed for the afternoon session. The way it works is if we don't have players coming in shortly after the session begins at 1:30 then MCQB closes until the evening session which starts at 5:00.
Also, a lot of people seem to be curious about us opening at 9:30am or 9:45m. Please note that we open at 10:00am every Saturday.
Please note as shown on the calender that there will be no afternoon session this coming Saturday (7/17) from 1:30-5:00. The morning and evening sessions will be hosted at their regular times.
If the afternoon session is canceled then i assume more people go to the night session more right? So shouldn't you guys extend the night session? If you guys did that would be awesome!!!!
$10 for 3 1/2 hrs right?
Yes

So would it be cool to like pay for two sessions and play the first session and the third session but stay and spectate the second session?
